Biography
Educator, Designer, and Maker.
Maurizio is passionate about typography, teaching, and youth outreach. Formerly a designer at Hoefler&Co., he has over twenty-five years of experience working in publishing, corporate branding, in-house marketing, and design firms in New York and abroad. Maurizio is dedicated to helping companies craft engaging brands, products, and creative solutions through strategic design.
Growing up in the diverse borough of Queens, New York, Maurizio’s parents emigrated from Italy and Venezuela. He was the first in his family to attend university and has taught at institutions such as Kean University and the City University of New York, the largest urban university system in the United States, working with students from all walks of life.
A self-described reflective practitioner, Maurizio continuously evaluates and challenges his conceptual and contextual processes.
